In the UK a Queen size mattress is bigger than a King size mattress. In America it is the King that is bigger. I suppose it’s the British supremacy about Queen’s, hence they have a Queen on the throne and not a King. On the subject of which, i was travelling in England recently and had the chance to sleep on a memory foam mattress double size. It’s a 4ft6 mattress size. Boy what a night’s sleep! I sank into the mattress, but strangely it didn’t feel too soft.

Then i did some research when i got home on memory foam. Apparently it supports your back and neck very well, and it preserves your posture. It was invented for NASA for space travel comfort, but not that any of us will need it in such demanding circumstances, but it sure provides a comfy sleep. Now if i can get the wife convinced I may be able to get rid of our old mattresss and buy one of these. I think i’ll go for the Super King size.
